While walking the dogs this morning I happened upon what I thought was a good idea for the yard. These hot Houston summers are not only tough on us, they are brutal on our lawns! A Willowbend area neighbor has a great idea to combat the heat that I wanted to share.
That narrow patch of grass between the street and sidewalk always takes a beating. Here’s what she did to add color and beauty!
Crushed granite as the foundation, ivy ground cover in the center with potted garden cabbage, lettuce and a brilliant purple flower.
I just love this! Can any one identify the purple flower? I’d love to add it to my garden.
Willowbend Civic Club and Precinct 287 have awarded five beautiful homes the Yard of the Month award.
We want to thank our home owners for keeping our neighborhood lovely and hope they inspire others with pride for our Willowbend neighborhood. This is where we live and we all are happy to be part of such a great area in Houston!
We want to say “Thank You” for making our neighborhood beautiful!
Introducing the Willowbend Yard of the Month program where homeowners who are selected as Yard of the Month recipients will be featured here. As homeowners who keep our Willowbend area neighborhood values growing, we applaud you!
Houston finally gets Trader Joe’s!
Stop by this quaint market for what it takes to make your evening special.
Located at 2922 South Shepherd with parking in the front and plenty of parking in the back.
OK everyone, get ready for the new series Pan Am! It is going to be this years season hit.
I have for you the real deal, a 1959-1960 Pan Am bag! My good friend who is 72 years young was living in New York City in 1960 and dating a Pan Am Stewart. So dazzled by her presence he gave her The Bag!
Now I have it and asking your opinion on just how much would you pay for the Real Deal?
Enjoy tonight’s primer and let me know what you think!!
